Excellent Quality and Value

I found this bench in a local furniture store's Acme catalogue and would have purchased it there except for their No Return policy. Just as well for my strained pocketbook, as I found it $50 cheaper here to boot. That said, for the price, I wasn't expecting a fantastic quality. I was expecting something similar to what I might find at Target -- particle board with a veneer at best. I certainly was prepared to put the bench together, which was not a concern for me. I have tools and am decently handy with them. Construction took me less than an hour.What I received was a promisingly heavy box. It did come disassembled, but the instructions, after a careful study, were incredibly easy to follow. I am fairly convinced that the bench is made entirely out of wood and the vinyl top is heavy duty and should stand up to the general rigors that three small children can throw at it.Nice surprises:- The manufacture of the bench is accurate and precise. Fitting the pieces was easy and didn't require any problem solving. At all. Perfect.- The bench sits flat. There is no tilt or rattle. It's incredibly stable and perfectly suitable as a safe seating solution for three young children.- There aren't any hard corners that my children could face plant into (easily), which is a big plus. They're talented with this stunt.- It doesn't look cheesy at all. It looks like quality furniture that I might have spent two or three times as much on. Rarely am I so pleased with the value and quality of a purchase.I really have no complaints about my purchase. This is one of those few occasions where my expectations have been exceeded and I have come out glowingly happy on the other side. Recommended!
